Last weekend we had the honour of capturing the beautiful wedding story of Lolo and Avo. Their day was filled with elements of their Armenian heritage and lots of food, fun and dancing! It’s always about the STORY for us, capturing and re-telling the story of each unique couple, ensuring that all of the key elements are there, so that years from now when they look back they will remember the details and people that made their wedding day so special. The reception room was truly a work of art from Susan Murray who always creates such elegance. We wish these two a lifetime of love and happiness and hope they completely love this highlight from their big day!

Several weeks ago when we were first contacted by the Stanleigh family it was to ask if we were available on November 16th as they were planning an elaborate party to celebrate the Bat Mitzvah of their youngest daughter, Samara. Through emails, phone calls and skype chats we became fast friends and we were equally honoured and excited to be chosen to capture this milestone for their family. Dr. Larry explained to us that their family belief is that life is to be celebrated. There are no greater gifts than love and friendship, and having all of their closest friends and family there to celebrate with them was essential. The theme for this event was Hollywood – Bollywood, representing Samara’s cultural diversity as both Indian (from her mother) and Jewish (from her father). Samara’s favourite colour purple was absolutely everywhere. Instead of a red carpet there was a purple carpet with purple velvet ropes that their guests walked down in order to enter the party. They were greeted by paparazzi who asked them which designer they were wearing, how they knew the guest of honour and what they were most looking forward to about the evening. Professional photographs of each guest were taken and then they entered the main room and were completely wowed by what they discovered inside. Visually it was over-the-top. The line up of entertainment was incredible and there were so many food stations and activities going on that everyone was thoroughly entertained all night long. As storytellers it was important to us that we captured and re-told this story with as many key elements and details as possible. We loved the cultural flair and vibe; so fun and truly a memorable evening at Hotel Arts! A special mention goes out to event planner Cari Van Camp for such an extraordinary job in bringing this all together. We hope that this highlight will always take the Stanleigh family back to this joyous day when their hearts were warmed by so many who came to share in this celebration!
