True Love and Luxury at it’s finest! Sara and Will’s wedding was overflowing with amazingly gorgeous details and of course the most beautiful, memorable moments. We were completely honoured to be their chosen photography and cinematography team. We were with them during their incredible engagement session in Muskoka and then there to capture every moment of their wedding story. Their attention to detail was impeccable and we just love their choice of vendors who all came together to complete such an over the top affair. St. Patrick’s church was adorned with floral arrangements on either side of the aisle and the the alter looked spectacular. Frank Rea from Forget Me Not Flowers outdid himself with the floral archway and Sara looked magnificent as her parents escorted her down the aisle. Although we’ve worked with Frank and his team many times before this reception styling was unlike anything we had ever seen before. You’ll have to watch their highlight to see what we’re talking about. Our jaws were on the floor when we walked into Carmen’s and saw this spectacular room. This was definitely a wedding we will never forget and we are so glad that Sara and Will loved their photos and wedding film. We wish them a lifetime of love and happiness.

Tracy and Nick were married on the beautifully modern rooftop of Malaparte in downtown Toronto. Their day was full of sunshine and laughter as their friends gathered from around the world to share in their special day. We loved the morning door games that were hilarious as Nick and his guys had to dress in onesies and play silly games to win Tracy’s hand in marriage. Their same day edit slide show was also enjoyed by their guests during the cocktail hour. We just know these two will live happily ever after!

“Today I’m marrying my forever dream girl!”
Over the years we have had the honour of capturing some pretty amazing wedding stories and we’ve spoken openly about how truly lucky we are to be there on the the biggest, most important day of people’s lives. Weddings are about bringing together two families and uniting them as one, it’s the promise from one to another that you will love, honour, respect and protect each other and be there for each other through the good times and the bad. As I listened to the vows that Krista and Mike said to one another it resonated with me and each of their guests – on this, their wedding day – a day planned in just 3 short weeks by Krista herself, it truly was about lifting each other up and supporting each other during the toughest of times.
Krista learned just 40 minutes before the ceremony was to start that her dad wasn’t going to be able to attend the wedding as he had just been admitted to hospital. She was overcome with emotion. Her brothers and mom rallied around her to make sure that her dream wedding would still take place. I knew that for every bride, and every couple, their wedding day goes by so quickly and that they barely remember any of the significant moments because the emotions, anxiety, excitement of everything going on really limits the memory from retaining too many of the important details. I knew, looking at Krista in those moments before she slipped into her gorgeous gown that her mind was only on her dad and that we simply had to capture the audio from their marriage vows and as many moments from the day in photographs so that she could share their wedding story with her dad and relive the moments, show him all the beautiful details she had planned so that her efforts were so very worth it.
After the lunch reception at the beautiful Cambridge Mill we all headed to Mike’s sister’s farm. What a photography dreamworld it was! Krista climbed up on a gorgeous horse for some bridal portraits, together she and Mike lied in tall grasses, canoed around a quaint pond and climbed hills of wild flowers… their photographs are simply stunning!
Today Krista and Mike came over to watch their slideshow and were overwhelmed with emotion watching and listening … a day that unfolded just 48 hours earlier was re-lived and can now be shared with her dad and all of their family and friends… forever! I’m so glad they are allowing us to post their slideshow here… it’s definitely one of my favourite weddings of all time. xo
We had the best time capturing the wedding story of Kayla & Andrew. These two had a beautiful wedding day despite the overcast clouds and scattered showers… the sun did shine for us and we loved all the backdrops that Credit Valley Golf and Country Club had to offer. Their bridal party was fantastic and their images and film turned out beautifully. Here are just a few of our favourites. We wish them a lifetime of love and happiness!
Each year I have the pleasure of designing gorgeous wedding albums for our couples and it’s a process I really do love. Selecting approximately 65 of the very best and most favourite images is probably the biggest challenge, but once those images are picked it’s truly magical to watch the album all come together. We love when couples come into the studio and get a chance to flip through these hand crafted albums in person. They feel beautiful in your hands and you can feel the workmanship and quality that has gone into each one. These are not flimsy books that are slapped together. Our albums are individually made by the album masters at Vision Art. We love the look and feel of these albums and they really do last forever! The thick pages are protected from finger prints and dust, the lay flat flushmount design means you don’t lose any of your photographs in the seam and they open nicely allowing you to see the entire image or images. We can’t imagine not having a wedding album… it truly is the storybook of of your wedding day and is a keepsake to cherish for a lifetime. Our couples are still telling us many years later how much they love their album and how they love looking through it with their children and their grandparents… over and over again. You chose us to capture your wedding story, why not let us design an album for you to truly showcase those moments and memories! Sure you can do it yourself and upload your images into an online template if you wish, but hands down I have never seen an album with the same quality, durability and breathtaking beauty as our Vision Art wedding albums.
Here is a sneak peek of Joanna and Dennis’ wedding album – we just had to make a studio sample for ourselves to share with all our 2015/16 couples that are coming in… we are in love with it’s elegance and beauty!
This gorgeous canvas carry pouch comes in several colours and patterns and protects your album when taking it around it to show friends and family or work colleagues; it also looks stylish on display in your own home.
the inside of the pouch is velvety smooth and soft so it won’t scratch your album cover
you can either choose a beautiful photo wrap cover like this one or we have a variety of genuine soft leather choices in several popular colours
you can see how thick the album is in this image – it’s sturdy and so well made – it also feels nice in your hands with it’s silky smooth matte or gloss finish
designing the full 24″ wide spreads is so fun for me – I love using a variety of page layouts to really showcase each gorgeous wedding image – this bouquet definitely needed to be shown as it’s own large single image; it was one of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen
I love including a couple of pages of black & white images in each album… of course it’s a personal preference, but some images really do look better and more dramatic in b/w (in my opinion)
this macro photo really shows an upclose look at the page thickness…. similar to a small child’s board book… these durable pages are built to last and can be turned many hundreds and thousands of times over generations and still look amazing – the clear coating protects your images from finger prints and dust as well
choosing the day’s most romantic or memorable moments is sometimes tough… but there are always a few that just stand out from the rest to me, like this moment when Dennis leaned in and whispered in Jo’s ear… that smile on her face… THAT moment needs to be remembered for always
the details are always an essential element of the day and need to be showcased on their own page… you have spent so much time (and money) choosing each and every one… when they all come together at the reception it’s simply gorgeous and you’ll want to remember them. Jo and Dennis chose a couture cake from The Luvvly Cake Co and their design details and inspiration in whites and creams with lots of sparkle were the work of Jackie Penner Events – stunningly beautiful for sure
Here you can see again how thick and durable the album is by the spine
and finally the back cover… just as beautiful as the front
Just like no two weddings are the same, nor are two albums. Each one is individually designed and then hand crafted. This album was designed in the 9×12 style but square options as large as 12×12 are also available.
What a beautiful wedding story … Rebecca and Steve had the most perfect day… a super fun bridal party, amazing parents, family and friends… so much love surrounding them as they wed that it was really very magical to be there in the midst of it all. Their ceremony was held outdoors at the Ancaster Mill and we just loved that they said personal vows to each other, it’s always extra beautiful when words are spoken from the heart. We had a quick 45 minutes for photos in between the ceremony and reception so we headed to Canterbury Hills and it was nice for the two of them to have that little bit of down time to enjoy a glass of champagne and take it all in. From the Potting Shed did an absolutely fabulous job on the floral design and it was a pleasure to work alongside Jackie and Amy of The Prepared Bride. Their wedding cake was a simplistic yet elegant design from The Luvvly Cake Co. We know these two are off celebrating on their Mediterranean honeymoon, but we wanted to post their highlights so they can enjoy them from some romantic location and re-live their magical day! A full post of photos will be up on the blog in a few weeks. May happiness and joy fill your hearts for always!

Last night Ana and Josh came to watch the premiere of their feature film and see their wedding photos. Other than a few sneak peek photos on facebook I haven’t really shared many of their photos because I really love to watch their faces and hear their voices as they see images and re-live moments from their wedding day for the first time. When I see an image that I personally love and then hear them say “oh, that’s a good one” or “wow, I love that one” it makes me realize again and again how lucky we are to capture such an amazing and important day in people’s lives. There were tears and laughter several times as they watched their film and when they left they already had a whole line up of places to go and people to share their memories with who were eagerly waiting their own premiere. As I climbed into bed last night I got a text from Ana saying they had gone through all of their photos and absolutely loved them! We are so proud and honoured to give these memories back to our amazing couples and their families and friends! Here are just a few of the photos from their wedding story.
Over the past 5 years we have had the opportunity to learn so many unique things about capturing wedding stories. We have had numerous conversations with fellow wedding professionals and many of our couples about ways to enhance the overall photo and cinema experience on such a memorable and important day. We began to compile a list over a year ago of tips and advice for our couples and then this past winter we decided it would be best to put all of this valuable information into a booklet and include lots of our own photos and video screen grabs to really explain and support the points we were trying to relay. We are so happy with the way this all came together and can’t wait to start sharing it with our upcoming 2013 couples and every new couple coming into the studio to meet with us for the first time. We know that this will be a valuable resource and will definitely make a difference in capturing so many amazing memories!
Diana and Kevin tied the knot yesterday on a completely gorgeous, sun-shiney, summer day! These two were simply amazing to work with and be around. Their photo session took place at Adamson Estate on the Lakeshore and even in the extreme heat they rocked it and we captured some incredible imagery. I can’t wait to blog their photos, for now we’d love to share their Same Day Edit from last night so they can re-live their magical day before heading off to Aruba tomorrow! We just loved what the priest had to say during the service and how he made it so personal. We opted to use an instrumental piece of music this time to really enhance what he was saying and truly feel this captures and re-tells their wedding story perfectly.
Enjoy your honeymoon and we’ll see you both soon!

Alana and Mark vowed to love each other forever and to throw the biggest party imaginable to celebrate their vows with all their closest family and friends in attendance. Mark told us time and again over the past year that they weren’t planning a wedding they were planning a gigantic party, and that it was! Their wedding planners Candice and Alison along with Susan Murray truly took their vision of luxury, romance and elegance to a whole new level. The room was awww-mazing with so many incredible details! Listening as the guests entered I heard “Oh my!” and “wow” over and over again. When Alana and Mark saw the room for the first time their reaction was that of someone seeing their dream come true in real life. Their DJ and master of ceremonies Max came all the way from Montreal at Alana and Mark’s request to keep the party rocking all night long and PhotoStar was a big hit at the party as well. I couldn’t even try to choose my favourite part of the day as there were so many amazing moments that we captured. We adore these two and wish them a very happy Honeymoon and a lifetime of adventures ahead! A full photo post coming soon, for now we will share their Same Day Edit from last night!
