Just a few short weeks before their intimate Muskoka wedding we received an email from Nicole and Duane to ask if by chance we were still available on July 2, 2015 to film and photograph their wedding story. I don’t think we’ve ever captured a Thursday wedding before, but being that the July 1st holiday (Canada Day) fell on a Wednesday this year, this was in fact the perfect day for their wedding celebration. What makes this so unique is that Nik and Duane live in Sydney, Australia which meant that planning out the details of their wedding would have to happen online and via skype. I must admit I was smitten from our very first skype call… who doesn’t love an Aussie accent, right? And they were both, so visibly, head over heels for one another and so excited for their wedding, that we knew this was going to be something very special. Indeed, it was an exceptionally beautiful day at Windermere House on July 2nd and although Nik’s family and many of their closest friends from Australia were not able to attend in person they did have a small group of Duane’s family and a few mutual friends who were able to join them. Nicole’s dearest friend Margie flew all the way from Australia and Duane’s youngest daughter India stood by Nik’s side and gave the most amazing toast at the luncheon reception. The combined simplicity and elegance of their wedding details as well as having Duane’s long-time friend Cary marry them, and Tobin Spring play beautiful acoustic music all afternoon, truly made this a memorable day for all. We are elated to share this highlight of their wedding story so that all of their friends and family can share in this celebration with Nik & Duane and experience the beauty of Muskoka (one of our very favourite places). Much love to this very special couple… thank you for choosing us to capture all of your precious wedding memories!

We are proud to share our ONLY Same Day Edit of 2015 … it’s one that we have been excitedly anticipating for the past 18 months. Cristina and Benny’s love story started more than 7 years ago and as their wedding day approached their family and friends simply couldn’t wait to watch their wedding story unfold, to share in their special day and surround these beautiful people with much, much love. We want to say a huge thank you to our good friend and colleague Ollie Denny from the U.K. who is an truly talented cinematographer. He single-handedly shot the entire ceremony with one camera, as the cathedral rules around photo and cinema are very strict, this was a true testament to his amazing abilities as a filmmaker and allowed Brian to focus on editing. We are honoured to have been chosen to document their day and share this highlight with more than 400 guests at Liuna Station during their reception. The feeling of watching over 400 guests take this all in, many of them through tears, gave us goosebumps. We truly are so very lucky to capture these moments and precious memories for our amazing couples and their families! Congratulations and lots of love Cristina & Benny!

We are so excited to FINALLY be able to share Jessica and Daniel’s fairytale wedding! Their wedding photos are beautifully showcased in the current issue of Dauphine Magazine so we are now able to post their wedding film.
Their wedding day was truly an over-the-top affair filled with elegance and romantic details at every turn. Frank Rea and his team at Forget Me Not flowers outdid themselves as the floral design, including an archway filled with thousands of fresh blooms, truly transformed the stunning spaces at the Ritz Carlton. Anne Anderson of Anne Anderson events was at the helm and ensured that every detail, every wish that Jessica and Daniel had for their special day was fulfilled. It truly was an incredible day and we just love the way their wedding highlight film turned out. It was such a pleasure to work with an incredibly talented team. Please see below for contact links. Enjoy!

We premiered Holly & Jordan’s Wedding film and watched it not once but twice along with the newlyweds and Holly’s parents. There were tears and laughter… lots of emotion as they re-lived the greatest day of their lives so far. When Jordan leaned over and said “this was the best investment we made … our wedding video” I knew we’d done a great job at re-telling their wedding story. Enjoy their highlight film (a re-cap of their longer film).

“Today I’m marrying my forever dream girl!”
Over the years we have had the honour of capturing some pretty amazing wedding stories and we’ve spoken openly about how truly lucky we are to be there on the the biggest, most important day of people’s lives. Weddings are about bringing together two families and uniting them as one, it’s the promise from one to another that you will love, honour, respect and protect each other and be there for each other through the good times and the bad. As I listened to the vows that Krista and Mike said to one another it resonated with me and each of their guests – on this, their wedding day – a day planned in just 3 short weeks by Krista herself, it truly was about lifting each other up and supporting each other during the toughest of times.
Krista learned just 40 minutes before the ceremony was to start that her dad wasn’t going to be able to attend the wedding as he had just been admitted to hospital. She was overcome with emotion. Her brothers and mom rallied around her to make sure that her dream wedding would still take place. I knew that for every bride, and every couple, their wedding day goes by so quickly and that they barely remember any of the significant moments because the emotions, anxiety, excitement of everything going on really limits the memory from retaining too many of the important details. I knew, looking at Krista in those moments before she slipped into her gorgeous gown that her mind was only on her dad and that we simply had to capture the audio from their marriage vows and as many moments from the day in photographs so that she could share their wedding story with her dad and relive the moments, show him all the beautiful details she had planned so that her efforts were so very worth it.
After the lunch reception at the beautiful Cambridge Mill we all headed to Mike’s sister’s farm. What a photography dreamworld it was! Krista climbed up on a gorgeous horse for some bridal portraits, together she and Mike lied in tall grasses, canoed around a quaint pond and climbed hills of wild flowers… their photographs are simply stunning!
Today Krista and Mike came over to watch their slideshow and were overwhelmed with emotion watching and listening … a day that unfolded just 48 hours earlier was re-lived and can now be shared with her dad and all of their family and friends… forever! I’m so glad they are allowing us to post their slideshow here… it’s definitely one of my favourite weddings of all time. xo
We had the best time capturing the wedding story of Kayla & Andrew. These two had a beautiful wedding day despite the overcast clouds and scattered showers… the sun did shine for us and we loved all the backdrops that Credit Valley Golf and Country Club had to offer. Their bridal party was fantastic and their images and film turned out beautifully. Here are just a few of our favourites. We wish them a lifetime of love and happiness!
Claire + Luca were married at the beautiful St. Basil’s church at the University of Toronto. These two are the perfect match! Claire has been following our work over the past 5 years and when Luca proposed we were one of the first vendors she contacted. We were thrilled to hear that they were planning a June wedding and looked so forward to capturing all of their wedding day memories. We know they are anxiously waiting to watch this again from some romantic spot on their travels as they spend their honeymoon in Europe, so here it is… their beautiful Same Day Edit.

Amy and Phil planned a perfect wedding day to kick off Summer! The weather was beautiful and we really did have the most relaxing and fun day with them, their family and friends. Amy and her girls looked spectacular thanks to the talented team at Makeup Worx. They chose picturesque Glen Abbey Golf & Country Club for their reception venue. Even in full sun we were able to capture some incredible images of them out on the green and in and around the incredible grounds. A special thanks to Leigh Raynor, catering sales manager, who went above and beyond to personally escort us around the course and ensured that everything was picture perfect. We loved the elegant décor created by Melissa at One Fine Day Event Planning & Design. Their gorgeous wedding cupcakes and cake were designed by Patricia’s Cake Creations. We also want to thank our friends Brian and Kelly Mercer from Blue Canister Studios for helping us capture Amy & Phil’s wedding story and create their heart-warming Same Day Edit that showed during their reception. We were surprised to hear that this was the inaugural Same Day Edit at Glen Abbey – what an honour! We wish a lifetime of love and happiness to Amy & Phil… thank you for choosing us to capture your memories! *a full post of photos coming soon, for now please enjoy their SDE.
