Claire + Luca were married at the beautiful St. Basil’s church at the University of Toronto. These two are the perfect match!  Claire has been following our work over the past 5 years and when Luca proposed we were one of the first vendors she contacted.  We were thrilled to hear that they were planning a June wedding and looked so forward to capturing all of their wedding day memories.  We know they are anxiously waiting to watch this again from some romantic spot on their travels as they spend their honeymoon in Europe, so here it is… their beautiful Same Day Edit.

Each year I have the pleasure of designing gorgeous wedding albums for our couples and it’s a process I really do love.  Selecting approximately 65 of the very best and most favourite images is probably the biggest challenge, but once those images are picked it’s truly magical to watch the album all come together.  We love when couples come into the studio and get a chance to flip through these hand crafted albums in person.  They feel beautiful in your hands and you can feel the workmanship and quality that has gone into each one.  These are not flimsy books that are slapped together.  Our albums are individually made by the album masters at Vision Art.  We love the look and feel of these albums and they really do last forever!  The thick pages are protected from finger prints and dust, the lay flat flushmount design means you don’t lose any of your photographs in the seam and they open nicely allowing you to see the entire image or images.  We can’t imagine not having a wedding album… it truly is the storybook of of your wedding day and is a keepsake to cherish for a lifetime.  Our couples are still telling us many years later how much they love their album and how they love looking through it with their children and their grandparents… over and over again.  You chose us to capture your wedding story, why not let us design an album for you to truly showcase those moments and memories!  Sure you can do it yourself and upload your images into an online template if you wish, but hands down I have never seen an album with the same quality, durability and breathtaking beauty as our Vision Art wedding albums.

Here is a sneak peek of Joanna and Dennis’ wedding album – we just had to make a studio sample for ourselves to share with all our 2015/16 couples that are coming in… we are in love with it’s elegance and beauty!

………………………….

This gorgeous canvas carry pouch comes in several colours and patterns and protects your album when taking it around it to show friends and family or work colleagues; it also looks stylish on display in your own home.

the inside of the pouch is velvety smooth and soft so it won’t scratch your album cover

you can either choose a beautiful photo wrap cover like this one or we have a variety of genuine soft leather choices in several popular colours

you can see how thick the album is in this image – it’s sturdy and so well made  – it also feels nice in your hands with it’s silky smooth matte or gloss finish

designing the full 24″ wide spreads is so fun for me – I love using a variety of page layouts to really showcase each gorgeous wedding image – this bouquet definitely needed to be shown as it’s own large single image; it was one of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen

I love including a couple of pages of black & white images in each album… of course it’s a personal preference, but some images really do look better and more dramatic in b/w (in my opinion)

this macro photo really shows an upclose look at the page thickness…. similar to a small child’s board book… these durable pages are built to last and can be turned many hundreds and thousands of times over generations and still look amazing – the clear coating protects your images from finger prints and dust as well

choosing the day’s most romantic or memorable moments is sometimes tough… but there are always a few that just stand out from the rest to me, like this moment when Dennis leaned in and whispered in Jo’s ear… that smile on her face…  THAT moment needs to be remembered for always

the details are always an essential element of the day and need to be showcased on their own page… you have spent so much time (and money) choosing each and every one… when they all come together at the reception it’s simply gorgeous and you’ll want to remember them.  Jo and Dennis chose a couture cake from The Luvvly Cake Co and their design details and inspiration in whites and creams with lots of sparkle were the work of Jackie Penner Events – stunningly beautiful for sure

Here you can see again how thick and durable the album is by the spine

and finally the back cover… just as beautiful as the front

Just like no two weddings are the same, nor are two albums.  Each one is individually designed and then hand crafted.  This album was designed in the 9×12 style but square options as large as 12×12 are also available.

We are so excited to announce our newest offering at Love Madly – our Highlight Films. These are beautiful 7-10 minute films that really encapsulate the joy and all of the very best and most memorable moments of your wedding story. We know that some couples still prefer our longer feature films and others prefer a one song 3-5 minute version… now we have something that falls right in the middle. Because every couple and story is unique we wanted to offer another option for our wedding film delivery. For those who may be on a more limited budget or simply prefer a little shorter film, this option is the PERFECT choice for you! Contact us for more information on all of our film and photography options for your special day!
We thought it was important to share a sample of a highlight film so you can see for yourself how beautiful they are. Joanna and Dennis’ gorgeous wedding took place at Hart House and Atlantis Pavilions, Toronto this past summer. We just adore these two and feel that this film is not at all about the length, but rather about all of the moments, details and ‘highlights’ of their wedding story that are beautifully captured and re-told. Enjoy!

Yesterday was the most amazingly beautiful day!  With an outdoor ceremony planned at Hart House, inside a gorgeous courtyard at the University of Toronto, we had all prayed for a perfect weather day!  I joked with Jo yesterday that her bridesmaids all looked as though they had gone through a rigorous screening process similar to the Bachelorette … how else could one find 9 bridesmaids and 2 maids of honour that are ALL stunning ?  The entire wedding party was awesome and we had a really great time!  Monika and her entire dream team from MakeUp Worx were there bright and early, we absolutely loved both of Jo’s bridal looks – one for daytime and another for evening.  Jackie from Jackie Penner Events was such a pleasure to work with.  She kept everyone on schedule and truly created a dream wedding day for Jo and Dennis.  I have only quickly gone through the images from yesterday and found my jaw drop a couple of times at the special moments we captured.  A full post of photos will come later but for now we wanted to share their Same Day Edit from last night.

Yesterday was a bit of a reunion for us as we captured Reissa + Kevin’s wedding story. So many of their friends and family were with us a few years ago as we were in Mexico for another beautiful wedding story. The sun was shining and the day was simply perfect. Reissa and Kevin were so looking forward to their Same Day Edit, experiencing their wedding day all over again during the reception with all their guests was really special. Congratulations you two and all the best for a happy and joyous marriage!
