We pride ourselves in getting to know our couples. Just like every couple is different so are our wedding films; some are upbeat and energetic, some are romantic comedies, some are full in glitz and sparkle, and then there are ones that are so beautifully moving. It’s no secret that we LOVE Muskoka weddings because the scenery, no matter what time of year, is incredibly beautiful and lends itself to gorgeous, cinematic shots which match the romantic love story unfolding. Enjoy this snippet from the opening of our latest feature film. Lindsey and Bill came all the way from Humble, Texas to be married at the JW Marriot The Rosseau Muskoka Resort & SPA and we know they are going to love their film and photo collection. Let us know if you agree.

Lindsay and Jonathan were married in Muskoka just a few short weeks ago. Their wedding day was truly unbelievably special. The morning fog lifting off Lake Rosseau and the rains that fell immediately after their ceremony at Bracebridge United church only added to the feeling of warmth, romance and love that surrounded them both. The JW Marriott was the perfect venue for their guests to enjoy the beautiful northern surroundings. The serenity and amazing lake views make it one of our favourite wedding venues. Judy, Jonathan’s mom, worked so hard to plan and execute this incredible day for her son and new daughter in law… her efforts were completely worth it as everything was simply stunning! This highlight film brings us right back to their day and we hope it reminds them of all that was magical as they celebrated the biggest day of their lives (so far). We wish you both love and a lifetime of happiness as you grow old together.

Just a few short weeks before their intimate Muskoka wedding we received an email from Nicole and Duane to ask if by chance we were still available on July 2, 2015 to film and photograph their wedding story. I don’t think we’ve ever captured a Thursday wedding before, but being that the July 1st holiday (Canada Day) fell on a Wednesday this year, this was in fact the perfect day for their wedding celebration. What makes this so unique is that Nik and Duane live in Sydney, Australia which meant that planning out the details of their wedding would have to happen online and via skype. I must admit I was smitten from our very first skype call… who doesn’t love an Aussie accent, right? And they were both, so visibly, head over heels for one another and so excited for their wedding, that we knew this was going to be something very special. Indeed, it was an exceptionally beautiful day at Windermere House on July 2nd and although Nik’s family and many of their closest friends from Australia were not able to attend in person they did have a small group of Duane’s family and a few mutual friends who were able to join them. Nicole’s dearest friend Margie flew all the way from Australia and Duane’s youngest daughter India stood by Nik’s side and gave the most amazing toast at the luncheon reception. The combined simplicity and elegance of their wedding details as well as having Duane’s long-time friend Cary marry them, and Tobin Spring play beautiful acoustic music all afternoon, truly made this a memorable day for all. We are elated to share this highlight of their wedding story so that all of their friends and family can share in this celebration with Nik & Duane and experience the beauty of Muskoka (one of our very favourite places). Much love to this very special couple… thank you for choosing us to capture all of your precious wedding memories!

If I had to choose just one word to describe Lindsay and Josh it would be ‘sweet’. As individuals, and as a couple, they are kind, warm and so very thoughtful. Last summer when we met for the first time over skype we could immediately tell that their wedding story was going to match their personalities to a tee, and it certainly did! From the storybook style of their invitations to the rehearsal dinner to the morning preparations and every moment and detail of their wedding day, everything was perfect. When we heard Holley Maher’s newly released song “Perfect Day” a few months ago we knew that it would make the most amazing soundtrack to their highlight film. This was our first time at the Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville and it made for the most beautiful backdrop. Their ceremony was conducted by Lindsay’s godfather at Saint Mary of the Assumption church in downtown Huntsville. Every pew in the church was adored by the most beautiful floral arrangement and many of the locals believed that that Kate Hudson was tying the knot that day. My favourite moment of the day had to be when Lindsay and Josh first walked into the reception room and were just in awe of the decor and how everything had come together. Event Decorator did an incredible job, the three tiered room was breathtakingly elegant! We were so honoured to be a part of their wedding day and love the way their highlight film re-tells their story!

Jo and Aaron were married on June 9th in beautiful Port Carling, Ontario. We were so looking forward to our very first Muskoka wedding and it didn’t disappoint. When we arrived at the JW Marriott and checked in on the Friday afternoon we were already in love with the rustic nature that surrounded us. We headed over to The Rock where Aaron and his groomsmen were playing a round of golf and were able to follow them in our own cart on a couple of holes. The morning of the wedding day Jo’s mom Patty came to pick us up at the marina in one of the family boats and it was just starting to rain. As the clouds rolled in and the skies opened up we all wondered if it would clear up in time for the photo session and ceremony. Aaron had sent over a series of clues for his bride to try and figure out where they were going to be heading for their honeymoon. She started with a crossword and then a word scramble and a few others to keep her and her bridesmaids guessing all morning long. When the rain stopped just after noon we were all crossing our fingers that we had seen the last of it. After a very special first look on the family dock the bridal party and families headed out for the photo session at a nearby cottage where the grounds were breathtaking. The ceremony and reception were held at the country club in a large room that extended right out over the water and had beautiful windows all around. Everything was gorgeous and there was evidence of Jo and Aaron’s personalities in many of the details (many of which were put together by Patty herself). We were all thoroughly entertained by Signal Hill as they performed many classic hits and kept everyone dancing late into the night. With a few more Muskoka weddings coming up this summer we are excited to return to the north and we are equally excited to share the highlights from Jo and Aaron’s amazing, romantic, oh-so-beautiful wedding story!
