Meaghan and Brad were married yesterday at Hernder Estates, a lovely winery in Niagara. The day was everything a bride dreams of. We were there to capture not only the magical moments and all the special details of their wedding story, but also their true personalities and the unique connection they share. We love how their Same Day Edit all came together, it’s truly a reflection of them and their love story. Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness!

Lindsay and Jonathan were married in Muskoka just a few short weeks ago. Their wedding day was truly unbelievably special. The morning fog lifting off Lake Rosseau and the rains that fell immediately after their ceremony at Bracebridge United church only added to the feeling of warmth, romance and love that surrounded them both. The JW Marriott was the perfect venue for their guests to enjoy the beautiful northern surroundings. The serenity and amazing lake views make it one of our favourite wedding venues. Judy, Jonathan’s mom, worked so hard to plan and execute this incredible day for her son and new daughter in law… her efforts were completely worth it as everything was simply stunning! This highlight film brings us right back to their day and we hope it reminds them of all that was magical as they celebrated the biggest day of their lives (so far). We wish you both love and a lifetime of happiness as you grow old together.

Just a few short weeks before their intimate Muskoka wedding we received an email from Nicole and Duane to ask if by chance we were still available on July 2, 2015 to film and photograph their wedding story. I don’t think we’ve ever captured a Thursday wedding before, but being that the July 1st holiday (Canada Day) fell on a Wednesday this year, this was in fact the perfect day for their wedding celebration. What makes this so unique is that Nik and Duane live in Sydney, Australia which meant that planning out the details of their wedding would have to happen online and via skype. I must admit I was smitten from our very first skype call… who doesn’t love an Aussie accent, right? And they were both, so visibly, head over heels for one another and so excited for their wedding, that we knew this was going to be something very special. Indeed, it was an exceptionally beautiful day at Windermere House on July 2nd and although Nik’s family and many of their closest friends from Australia were not able to attend in person they did have a small group of Duane’s family and a few mutual friends who were able to join them. Nicole’s dearest friend Margie flew all the way from Australia and Duane’s youngest daughter India stood by Nik’s side and gave the most amazing toast at the luncheon reception. The combined simplicity and elegance of their wedding details as well as having Duane’s long-time friend Cary marry them, and Tobin Spring play beautiful acoustic music all afternoon, truly made this a memorable day for all. We are elated to share this highlight of their wedding story so that all of their friends and family can share in this celebration with Nik & Duane and experience the beauty of Muskoka (one of our very favourite places). Much love to this very special couple… thank you for choosing us to capture all of your precious wedding memories!

“Today I’m marrying my forever dream girl!”
Over the years we have had the honour of capturing some pretty amazing wedding stories and we’ve spoken openly about how truly lucky we are to be there on the the biggest, most important day of people’s lives. Weddings are about bringing together two families and uniting them as one, it’s the promise from one to another that you will love, honour, respect and protect each other and be there for each other through the good times and the bad. As I listened to the vows that Krista and Mike said to one another it resonated with me and each of their guests – on this, their wedding day – a day planned in just 3 short weeks by Krista herself, it truly was about lifting each other up and supporting each other during the toughest of times.
Krista learned just 40 minutes before the ceremony was to start that her dad wasn’t going to be able to attend the wedding as he had just been admitted to hospital. She was overcome with emotion. Her brothers and mom rallied around her to make sure that her dream wedding would still take place. I knew that for every bride, and every couple, their wedding day goes by so quickly and that they barely remember any of the significant moments because the emotions, anxiety, excitement of everything going on really limits the memory from retaining too many of the important details. I knew, looking at Krista in those moments before she slipped into her gorgeous gown that her mind was only on her dad and that we simply had to capture the audio from their marriage vows and as many moments from the day in photographs so that she could share their wedding story with her dad and relive the moments, show him all the beautiful details she had planned so that her efforts were so very worth it.
After the lunch reception at the beautiful Cambridge Mill we all headed to Mike’s sister’s farm. What a photography dreamworld it was! Krista climbed up on a gorgeous horse for some bridal portraits, together she and Mike lied in tall grasses, canoed around a quaint pond and climbed hills of wild flowers… their photographs are simply stunning!
Today Krista and Mike came over to watch their slideshow and were overwhelmed with emotion watching and listening … a day that unfolded just 48 hours earlier was re-lived and can now be shared with her dad and all of their family and friends… forever! I’m so glad they are allowing us to post their slideshow here… it’s definitely one of my favourite weddings of all time. xo
Claire + Luca were married at the beautiful St. Basil’s church at the University of Toronto. These two are the perfect match! Claire has been following our work over the past 5 years and when Luca proposed we were one of the first vendors she contacted. We were thrilled to hear that they were planning a June wedding and looked so forward to capturing all of their wedding day memories. We know they are anxiously waiting to watch this again from some romantic spot on their travels as they spend their honeymoon in Europe, so here it is… their beautiful Same Day Edit.

From the very first email we received from Tony, several months ago, we knew that the wedding day he and his fiancé Enid were planning was going to be completely romantic. They had been searching for the absolute perfect venue and knew they wanted something both rustic and elegant. Their wedding took place last Tuesday morning at Vineland Estates and was truly one of the most romantic wedding stories we’ve ever captured. Tony and Enid’s attention to detail was so very evident. Jessica from Fleurish Design Studio did an amazing job on the florals and decor and really brought Enid’s vision of a vintage, rustic, woodland theme to life. Ben Benvie was a pleasure to work alongside as he captured their story in photos. We absolutely love Vineland Estates as it is such a gorgeous backdrop for beautiful wedding stories. Our cinema team was up at 4:30 am to make sure we could capture the sun rising over the rolling vineyards. We wanted to make sure that Enid and Tony would never forget every important element of their wedding day. We loved their personal vows to each other and we completely love their highlight wedding film. Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness!

What a beautiful wedding story we had the honour of capturing yesterday. Karen and Lorne were married in an absolutely gorgeous ceremony in the Governor’s Room at the Ancaster Mill. The rains held off, family and friends gathered with full hearts for a celebration joining two families. I especially love ceremonies that unite different cultures and religions and knowing how important having a Jewish ceremony was to Karen it was all that more special seeing the two of them under the Chuppah surrounded by their parents, closest friends, candles and gorgeous florals. The room looked incredible. Speaking of incredible, Karen’s champagne coloured lace dress was breathtaking. My favourite part of their day was when they saw each other for the first time. I love the look on Lorne’s face as Karen looked over at him from the upstairs railing and I especially loved the few minutes they had alone together immediately after when Karen whispers “here we go … now that I’ve seen him I’m ready, now I’m okay”. Their Same Day Edit was a complete surprise. Karen’s mom and dad had requested this as a surprise gift to their daughter and new son-in-law. It was amazing to watch their faces as they watched their wedding story on the big screen surrounded by all of their wedding party, family and friends. I couldn’t believe how hard it was to keep this secret from them the past few months, but I’m so glad we did. What a truly beautiful and memorable gift! The SDE ended with a standing ovation and lots of hugs… we believe it truly captures the essence of their love story.

We knew from our very first meeting that Kira and Mike’s wedding day would be nothing but an absolutely beautiful, memorable and fun time for them and all of their guests. They planned their wedding on the July 1st long weekend to give everyone a chance to get away to Niagara on the Lake and spend not just a few hours, but a few days, celebrating with them! I love that they thought of their guests before anything else. There were so many highlights in the day that I can’t pinpoint an actual favourite… their first look was beautiful, the hand sewn chuppah that Mike’s sister made was gorgeous, their decor and florals were simply fabulous, thanks to Gush Events and Mimosa Flower Studio. The rustic barn at Honsberger Estate with it’s stone walls and exposed beams was the perfect setting for this intimate wedding. I loved their outdoor vintage-inspired lounge area set up by The Warehouse Niagara that included various seating areas for their guests to enjoy right under the stars. Yummy cupcakes by the Luvvly Cake Co. were enjoyed as an after dinner treat. The evening was filled with dancing, an over-the-top fireworks display and their surprise Same Day Edit. It was definitely a wedding that everyone is still talking about weeks later. I had a hard time narrowing down my favourite images for the blog. Again, there were so many amazing details and moments that we captured … we feel so honoured to be the keeper of their memories.
and in case you missed their Engagement Story and Same Day Edit, here is it again…
What a beautiful wedding story … Rebecca and Steve had the most perfect day… a super fun bridal party, amazing parents, family and friends… so much love surrounding them as they wed that it was really very magical to be there in the midst of it all. Their ceremony was held outdoors at the Ancaster Mill and we just loved that they said personal vows to each other, it’s always extra beautiful when words are spoken from the heart. We had a quick 45 minutes for photos in between the ceremony and reception so we headed to Canterbury Hills and it was nice for the two of them to have that little bit of down time to enjoy a glass of champagne and take it all in. From the Potting Shed did an absolutely fabulous job on the floral design and it was a pleasure to work alongside Jackie and Amy of The Prepared Bride. Their wedding cake was a simplistic yet elegant design from The Luvvly Cake Co. We know these two are off celebrating on their Mediterranean honeymoon, but we wanted to post their highlights so they can enjoy them from some romantic location and re-live their magical day! A full post of photos will be up on the blog in a few weeks. May happiness and joy fill your hearts for always!

I will never forget the first time we met with Kira and Mike many months ago. Kira said she envisioned her wedding to take place in non-traditional venue where all their friends and family could gather and celebrate for an entire weekend, not just a single day! I love this idea as it gave many a mini vacation in Niagara on the Lake, such a picturesque and beautiful place to spend time, especially with loved ones. Yesterday, we spent the morning with Kira and her girls at the Regent House, a gorgeous home. Monika and her Makeup Worx team were there to beautify all the lovely ladies. The guys jumped onto the Limo bus and headed to Niagara Falls for some mini putt in the morning; I loved that they all got dressed up in mismatched golf attire for the occasion.
After their 1st look in NOTL we headed to the fabulous Honsberger Estate in Jordan for photos followed by their beautiful ceremony and reception. Liz and Danielle at Gush Events did an amazing job at coordinating and making everything run smoothly and were also a great support to us by making sure we had everything we needed. Breathtaking floral design was provided by Mimosa Flowers and Liquid Entertainment had everyone dancing late into the night. The evening ended with a fantastic fireworks display that had everyone ooohing and awwwwing… of course we also heard some of those sounds and lots of laughter during their Same Day Edit. It did our hearts good to receive a standing ovation from the entire room after it played. We have grown really close to Kira and Mike over the past year and felt an immediate bond with their family and friends as well. We want to thank everyone for being so incredibly warm and inviting to our entire team yesterday… this was a wedding story we won’t soon forget! Enjoy your honeymoon in Switzerland xo
